VSA/HFA uses the following types of bone mineral density screening equipment:
The GE Lunar Insight™ and the CUBA™ measure fracture risk by ultra-sound of the heel bone mineral density (BMD) while the Sunlight™ measures by ultra-sound of a wrist or digit.
The screening device utilized is based upon client preference, if any, and according to event logistics. VSA/HFA complies with applicable federal, state and county screening guidelines, including federal and state specific CLIA -waived certificates. |
