Event Staff Recruitment

Thank you for your interest in Total Wellness (TW), also known as Health Fairs of America (HFA) and Vaccination Services of America, Inc. (VSA). We are a private corporate wellness company based in Omaha, Nebraska and are proud to be a leading national provider of onsite services, such as health screenings and vaccinations. Our focus is on delivering consistent high quality corporate wellness events to companies/clients throughout the U. S. and Canada.

We provide the services by maintaining independent contract nurses, and other medical professionals in nearly every city. When a client requests services, we contact the nearby independent contractors to find out who is available to work.

The services we provide are for screening and educational purposes. We do not diagnose. We believe the most important part of our service is helping participants understand their results and have their questions answered. However, many companies choose to not have onsite counseling to go over individual results. We have concise but detailed education handouts for participants, that include places where results are to be written, and which also serve as aids for our staff on answering questions, counseling and explaining results when applicable. When onsite counseling is not offered, participants with questions are referred to our follow-up counseling information listed at the end of each handout.

Because of the nature of our business we cannot offer full-time work or even promise consistent part-time work. Our schedule of events completely depends on the orders of clients, which, for the most part, are impossible to anticipate. Even if you are not sure how much you will be able to work with us, it cannot hurt for you to go on and sign up if you are interested. The services we provide are basic and we find that most independent contractors enjoy the change-of-pace compared to other typical medical jobs. This is a fast-growing industry in which we constantly contract with new clients. You are never obligated to work for us. We just hope that you are interested and available when we need you. There are typically more events in large cities, however we do have events throughout the country year-round. Our busiest time of year is during “flu shot season,” which is primarily October — December. Since our events usually take place in corporate settings as an employee benefit, the majority are planned to be during the workday, Monday — Friday.

If you are interested in working with us, please review the information below.

Compensation: The work we do is generally easy and fun. Since most healthcare professionals are able to do the same work, we have no major pay differentials. Healthcare professionals are paid depending on location, level and area of expertise. To give you an idea of hourly rate, nurses are paid at least $30. We also offer compensation for excessive travel time or mileage to and from assignments.
